Parkhurst Unavailable Saturday

Just got word that Michael Parkhurst will not be available for Saturday’s game in San Jose. Instead, he’s been given the weekend off to recover from his Olympic experience in Beijing. He is expected to be available for selection on Wednesday for the Revs’ game against D.C. United.

Parkhust left the Revs on Sunday night, July 20, to meet up with Team USA in Northern California and has been with the team for almost four weeks. In that time, he’s played five games, including three in the last eight days. Team USA’s schedule included training or recovery sessions every day, so Michael has not had any time off at all since the beginning of July – before SuperLiga started.
