Each week, the Revs’ Communications staff distributes a weekly update to members of the regional and national media. This release includes not only the team’s training schedule for the upcoming week, but also information about the upcoming opponent and general news and notes.
Since so much of what’s in the weekly update is information that fans may find of interest, we’re going to start publishing it on revolutionsoccer.net. Be sure to check out the first installment today, and going forward, it will be posted early in the week when the team is in season.

I like the completeness of the report all in one place. It’s a nice addition to the overall flow of information. Please keep looking for ways to add depth and texture to these reports.

Thank you for making “weekly update” available. It is a concise, interesting newsletter that fans will certainly enjoy. Now, if you could add the current standings to the game notes, I’d really be happy :^).

Dave – as we’ve stated before, the game notes are for media use, but we distribute them to our season ticket holders as an amenity. Standings are not included in the game notes because they’re done early in the week before the Thursday game, meaning the standings are out-of-date by game time on the weekend.
Also, the media receives a full stats and standings document from the league office after each game, and the up-to-date standings are included in that, so there is no need for individual teams to to include in already too-thick game notes packs.
Up-to-date standings can be found on the front page of revolutionsoccer.net and at MLSnet.com.
