Training Recap - November 4
Written by supahrevs on November 4, 2009 – 3:44 pm -After taking two days to recover from last Sunday afternoon’s thrilling 2-1 victory over the Fire, the entire squad was back on the training field this morning to begin preparing for the decisive second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Series on Saturday night in Chicago. While everyone is pleased with the home victory in the first leg - and the one-goal advantage that came with it - every single player and staff member is fully aware that there are 90 more minutes (or more) of hard-fought soccer to be played on Saturday night before the job is done.

Training recap - October 31
Written by revseye on October 31, 2009 – 12:56 pm -There certainly was no evidence of Halloween at this morning’s training session, which ran a crisp 75 minutes on the Gillette Stadium field. No orange, black or even facepaint or masks. For this group of pranksters and fun-loving guys, that means one thing - they’re getting down to business for tomorrow’s match. After the Revs’ U16s and U18s wrapped up their early-morning session, the first team stepped on for their final run-through before kicking off the 2009 MLS Cup Playoffs tomorrow afternoon against Chicago (2 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel, WRKO 680 AM).

Training Recap - October 29
Written by supahrevs on October 29, 2009 – 1:08 pm -There was more playoff-like weather for today’s training session on the Gillette Stadium practice fields, with cold temperatures and biting winds - but no rain! That made for a quality training session which lasted approximately an hour-and-a-half. With the 2009 MLS Cup Playoffs officially getting underway this evening when Seattle hosts Houston, the time is now to make sure everyone is sharp, prepared and ready to roll when kickoff against the Fire arrives at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Training Recap - October 28
Written by supahrevs on October 28, 2009 – 1:04 pm -Feels like playoff soccer.
Today’s training session was cold, wet and windy. The players and staff were bundled up in a combination of winter/rain gear for today’s hour-and-a-half workout, which was certainly long enough to chill just about everybody to the bone. And you know what? It was great. It undoubtedly felt like playoff soccer as we push toward the end of October and into November, with the Revs preparing for an Eastern Conference Semifinal Series against their most bitter rival, the Chicago Fire.
