There, the Revs will spend 12 days training and playing their final three preseason games before the season opener against the… Continue reading »

Any time we announce preseason information, there is always an asterisk directing readers to a bold note at the bottom: *Schedule is subject to change. The Revs have definitely put that footnote into effect this week, as the club just announced this afternoon that the players and staff will head to Orlando, Fla., this Saturday for a six-day… Continue reading »
Another day of preseason training kicked off at 10 a.m. this morning in the Dana-Farber Field House, and it was again a longer session as we edge closer and closer to the start of the season. While today’s workout was much like yesterday’s in many ways, a few of the drills differed slightly.
The Revolution’s recently-announced training trip to North Carolina in mid-March will be a welcome reprieve if the current New England weather continues, as wet, slushy snow coated Foxborough and made for some messy conditions this morning. Luckily for the Revs, the indoor facilities at the Dana-Farber Field House on the grounds of Gillette Stadium remain dry no matter the… Continue reading »

The second week of preseason training continued today with an extended two-hour session, which once again focused on ballwork and small-sided games and moved away from last week’s regimen of strictly conditioning drills. Trialist Reinaldo Navia was on hand for a second straight day and got his opportunity to impress the Revolution’s coaching staff in a… Continue reading »
Quick video hit for those of you who haven’t seen this on our Facebook/Youtube pages: New assistant coach Steve Myles challenged Steve Nicol to hit the crossbar. Nicol accepts, and well, nails it.
After sticking to a consistent formula of conditioning exercises last week – the first of preseason training after a long offseason – the Revs deviated from the norm this morning as they rolled out the balls and played their first small-sided games of the preseason. While it obviously serves as an opportunity for the returning players to regain their… Continue reading »

Four days into active workouts, it’s safe to say the guys are looking forward to getting into more traditional soccer action next week. The excitement of being back and doing conditioning work is tempered by the knowledge that everyone will start to get… Continue reading »
