Alston and Videira visit Somerville

smallalstonRevolution newcomers Kevin Alston and Mike Videira visited the Winter Hill Community School in Somerville on Thursday afternoon, where they entertained a group of approximately 70 middle school students who are involved in a special academic program focused on mathematics.

After speaking briefly about the importance of education and the places that soccer has allowed them to travel, Kevin and Mike field a variety of questions from the students. Subjects ranged from soccer-related topics such as what it’s like playing in front of huge crowds and who their favorite players are, to more personal questions like favorite movies and foods.

Following the Q and A session, the group moved to the gym, where Kevin and Mike displayed a few tricks and even played an abbreviated game of soccer tennis with a couple of soccer-savvy students. When the games were over, every student present had the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with the guys … and I think it’s safe to say that they all took advantage of that opportunity.

Here are a few pictures from the day …
