Training Recap: April 13 (w/ photos)

Written by supahrevs on April 13, 2009 – 11:08 am -

Mondays are typically our busiest days around the office as we begin to make preparations for the upcoming games, but we were able to sneak away from our desks for a few minutes today to catch a bit of training - and snap some pictures.

The weather for the session was typical for April in New England - sunny but cold. After temperatures skied into the 60s during the weekend, reality set back in today with the winter hats being brought back out. While we were only at training for about 15 minutes, there was plenty of encouraging news to be reported …

After taking it a bit easy last week as they recovered from minor bumps and bruises, the “Red and Dread” central midfield combination of Jeff Larentowicz and Shalrie Joseph was back to full training today. Also participating in the full session were Kheli Dube and new signing Stephane Assengue, who are also on the road to recovery after being listed on the most recent injury report.

Another pair of injured players - Taylor Twellman and Wells Thompson - trained off to the side with Assistant Athletic Trainer Phil Madore, who ran the guys through agility drills.

The action we caught at training consisted of a 7 vs. 7 small-sided game. Here are a few pictures (and proof that some of these guys were back on the field) …
