Training Recap - June 23
Written by supahrevs on June 23, 2009 – 4:22 pm -With just two days in between Sunday night’s thrilling win over Santos Laguna and tomorrow night’s clash with the Kansas City Wizards, the Revs had to press their recovery period and preparation period into an approximately 48-hour span. After going through jogging and stretching yesterday (as the players reported to the stadium on Monday morning about 12 hours after the final whistle on Sunday night), the team had another light session today to get its legs back and make sure that the boys are fresh for tomorrow night.
By the time we made our way out to the training field this morning (once again, in the rain), many of the players were already on their way into the locker room to get dry and stay rested. However, a good number of the guys stuck around to play some light games and continue kicking the ball around.
In the highlighted match of the day, Jeff Larentowicz and Mike Videira took on Pat Phelan and Chris Tierney in soccer horseshoes. The wind and rain didn’t deter the guys, who played at least three games before finally calling it quits and heading indoors.
Tonight it’s all about resting up and mentally preparing for tomorrow night’s game against the Wizards.

What is the status of our Trialist? I know this lack of any info, one way or the other is the norm for Rev Central bit since so may comments were posted all lost week I’m a bit surprised — not one word, Come on Brad—at least a hint.

Im almost positive that the trialist cant officially sign with the revs until the transfer window opens on july 15th, unless he is a free agent then he can sign anytime.

George - the only training session I’ve been to this past week was Santos’ on Saturday evening. Sorry I can’t be more of help.

He’s a free agent and it’s a matter of the team finding the right roster space for him. Burnsie said so last week.
