Revolution NewsstandIt’s a beautiful Monday morning for Revolution fans everywhere, as Jeff Larentowicz’s goal powered the team over the Columbus Crew and into the MLS Cup Playoffs last night. The Boston Herald, Boston Globe,  ESPN.com, and Goal.com all have recaps of last night’s contest, where the Revs only needed a draw but instead came away with three points. ESPN.com also has analysis aside from the game recap.

Last night’s action capped off a busy and exciting weekend in Major League Soccer, and Kyle McCarthy of Goal.com takes us through all the important action with his running diary throughout the last two days. McCarthy also files two stories for MLSnet.com, one focusing on Larentowicz’s score and another on the ability of the Revs to pick up a victory in a must-win situation.

All eyes now quickly shift, however, and the Revs will need to prepare for Saturday’s home match against the rival Chicago Fire. The Chicago Tribune takes a quick look at the series today.
