2009_pumpkins02Once again we have a halloween season contribution from Prairie Rose Clayton in the form of some awesome carved pumpkins here at Gillette Stadium. Those of you watching at home will see them during the broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel, and here’s a closer look at them for your viewing pleasure.

[...] No matter; I was on a carving binge anyway. They did request I do a Fox Soccer Channel logo pumpkin, as well as a Chicago Fire one for balance, but the rest were up to me. Results here and here. [...]

Can’t stop thinking about the game… Late day thoughts:
Beyond everyone stepping up I thought there were a couple of notable changes from what we’ve seen and will hopefully get used to seeing in the next 3 games!
Late subs were rockstars. Castro and Pat came in running and played like starters. Pat’s defense was awesome (loved the hard tackles) and Castro showed that he needs to be treated like a real weapon. I’m pretty sure Rolfe is still looking for his underwear after that devestating stepover.
The push forward from our backline on the right side was AWESOME. I don’t know a team in the league who wants to see Nyassi and Alston taking turns slashing down the sideline every other play. keep that up and the goals will come!
The only player I wanted to see more from was Jankus. He seemed to be holding the ball up way too deep and was soon out of the play. Yes we shoud use him to post up, but not if that means his 6′ 4″ frame can’t be on the receiving end of a cross b/c he’s 20 yards behind the attack.

It looks as though the game has passed Jankus bye, I would be surprised if he is still on the roster next season.
