I have to say I wasn’t all that impressed with Jankauskas. Seems like he spent more time playing hurt (and I guess actually being hurt at times) than playing soccer. Hopefully Twellman will be well to start next season and throughout the season.

Well, the good news is that our rookies are no longer rookies: they’ve gotten a ton of experience this year, and they’re good.
The bad news is, of course, the health of some of our veterans. We need both Twellman and Ralston, but no one knows how both will recover. Jankauskas was pretty okay when we saw him, but he was injured a lot (just like everyone else). So….will be interested to see who is or isn’t protected in the draft, as well as what (any?) signings we make.

In fairness to Jankauskas, he wasn’t exactly given quality service with which to work during his time with the club this season. He also worked with injuries that kept him from becoming accustomed to the play in this league, and from gaining match fitness (he hadn’t play in what? six months prior to his start with the Revs?). You could also say he wasn’t receiving enough protection (for lack of a better word) from the officials, as he was always being hacked and hounded by the opposing team.
