Get a piece of A.J. Soares and help Japan

Looking for a cool way to help donate to the relief and rebuilding efforts in Japan?

MLS W.O.R.K.S., the charitable arm of Major League Soccer, has put up for auction a bunch of authentic, autographed merchandise with all net proceeds going to the Red Cross’ efforts in Japan.

Among the items up for bid? A.J. Soares’ game-worn jersey from the 2011 season opener at LA – his MLS debut. (Don’t worry, it has been washed after all that rain). He also autographed it on the back.

Other one-of-a-kind items include autographed, game-worn jerseys from Omar Bravo (KC), Conor Casey (COL), Danny Mwanga (PHI), Danny Califf (PHI) and Chad Marshall (CLB), among many others.

Check out the auction and do what you can to help the recovery begin in Japan.

    Hey guys

First of all, that’s a good job you’re doing about Japan A.J. Soares. I hope there will come some money together for Japan.

Second, I wish you all the best for your game against the Portland Timbers. You have everything you need to win this match on your side: the momentum, the skill and the fitness. But please don’t underestimate this team, especially don’t underestimate Kenny Cooper upfront. They are quite weak in the defensive and missing both “key-goalkeeper” hurts them really, but Cooper is a constant danger when he’s on the ball.
So follow the strategy of the last two games: Scoring early and keep the pressure high. There are still some mistakes in passing, but the motiviation and the results are quite good, nevertheless. I hope you keep and improve your momentary level of skill. Especially, I hope you don’t end up playing like the Swiss National Team, playing some kind of Kindergarten soccer after “I let you have the ball, then you let me have the ball”. The last game looked promising, so keep and improve it that way.

    Best wishes from Switzerland
