If you can’t stand the heat …

… don’t go to Texas.

If you’ve followed any of our preview coverage throughout the week here on revolutionsoccer.net, you know by now that temperatures in the Dallas area are expected to top out in the upper 90s every day for the next week or so. The Revs touched down in the Lone Star State late this afternoon and I can confirm that it’s pretty warm … approximately 93 degrees as we head from the airport to the hotel at 4 p.m. CT.

With the climate in mind, the players will be going through a light pool workout before dinner tonight. After that everyone will likely relax in their rooms for the evening and stay cool for the time being.

Tomorrow’s obviously a big day for soccer fans in New England as the U.S. National Team hosts defending World Cup champion Spain at Gillette Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. ET. Of course, we’ll follow it up with the perfect nightcap at 8:30 p.m. ET as the Revs take on FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park.

We’ll have all of our usual coverage from Dallas, beginning with Revolution Soccer Gameday early tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, check out revolutionsoccer.net for plenty of preview coverage, including multiple video and written features all designed to prime you for tomorrow night’s game between the Revs and FCD.

Weren’t Nyassi and Mansally called up for Gambia? Also, is the loan with Ilija and Tim over? I didn’t see them on FC New York’s roster.

Chris B – Both Kenny Mansally and Sainey Nyassi are with the Revs in Texas and will be available for selection tonight. I haven’t heard anything about the loans of Ilija Stolica and Tim Murray but I don’t believe they’re over.
