Caption This - Contest!
Written by revolutionsoccer.net on June 29, 2009 – 11:29 am -
Hey everyone - after last night’s win over Atlas, we are back with another caption contest! Before we start, we just want to give a quick shout to last week’s winner for the caption, “Coming this summer… Superliga 2009: A story of two soccer players and the goal keeper who came between them.”
We have not yet heard back from you - so if this is your caption - please check the e-mail account you entered the contest with for a notification from us.
Onto this week’s contest. We figured with Jay Heaps‘ recent callup to the U.S. Men’s National Team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup that we would honor him in this space as well. As you all know, Jay is one of the most intense players in MLS and this photo truly captures his intensity. The prize this week will be none other than a Jay Heaps autographed player card.
We won’t have another contest after this until July 13, so make this one count! Good luck!
RULES: One entry per person, per e-mail address. Contest ends tomorrow (June 30) at 11:59 P.M. and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 1 on the blog. Click here for the official rules (PDF).

San Jose Preview with Jay Heaps and Kevin Alston
Written by revolutionsoccer on March 19, 2009 – 11:35 am -
We caught up with Jay Heaps and Kevin Alston at training and got their thoughts on this weekend’s matchup in San Jose. Also, being big college basketball fans (and Heaps being a Duke basketball alum), we asked for their picks for this year’s NCAA tournament. Watch here or after the jump.
Finally, we have a separate video of Matt Reis and Shalrie Joseph harassing Kevin in various ways while we were trying to interview him. Rookie fun at its best!

Parkhurst, Heaps talk Defense
Written by revolutionsoccer on November 3, 2008 – 3:44 pm -
We caught up with Jay Heaps and Michael Parkhurst at training today - they each gave their thoughts on what the team did defensively in Game One and what they’ll have to do to keep it going in Game Two.
Side note: We had to wait for Parkie to finish his game of soccer horseshoes before his part of the interview took place. He and teammate Chris Albright lost a hotly contested match to the Revolution coaching staff (Nicol & Mariner), which apparently is nothing new…
Watch the video after the jump or click here.
