We caught up with Jay Heaps and Kevin Alston at training and got their thoughts on this weekend’s matchup in San Jose. Also, being big college basketball fans (and Heaps being a Duke basketball alum), we asked for their picks for this year’s NCAA tournament. Watch here or after the jump.

The Revs should be kicking off their daily training session in Austin right about now, and you can be sure that we’ll have plenty of great content from the session right here on the blog later today. However, here’s a little something to keep you occupied in the meantime.

We had a chance to sit down with the Revolution’s top draft choice, Kevin Alston, to talk about his time in the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Residency Program, his career at Indiana and his recovery from the broken leg he suffered at the 2005 U17 World Cup, among other things. Revolution newcomers Kevin Alston and Mike Videira visited the Winter Hill Community School in Somerville on Thursday afternoon, where they entertained a group of approximately 70 middle school students who are involved in a special academic program focused on mathematics.
